Tri-Peptide Night Cream

A night cream with three peptides, gluconolactone (a polyhydroxy acid) and a stable Vitamin C ester, in a shea and squalane base.

Acetyl hexapeptide-8, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 are the peptides. Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid — a larger molecule than glycolic or lactic, so it exfoliates slowly. Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is an oil-soluble Vitamin C ester, more stable in a cream than L-ascorbic acid, and without the low pH that makes L-ascorbic acid sting.

The base does as much as the actives: shea butter, squalane, rosehip seed oil and sodium PCA. That makes it emollient, and emollient is not what every skin wants at night.

A night step, layered last. Made for normal to drier skin.

Actives: Gluconolactone (PHA, exfoliant), Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate (Vitamin C), Hyaluronic Acid

Suits: Normal to drier skin. Skin that finds a stronger exfoliant too much.

Not for: Oilier skin may find it heavier than it needs.
