Vitamin C Pigment Suppression Serum 10%

$135 30mL

Tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate at 10% — an oil-soluble form of Vitamin C — with gluconolactone and licorice root extract.

Vitamin C as tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate at 10%. It is an oil-soluble ester rather than L-ascorbic acid, so it does not need the low pH that makes high-strength Vitamin C sting, and it holds up better in the bottle. It is also converted once it is in the skin, which means 10% here is not the same number as 10% of L-ascorbic acid.

Gluconolactone is a polyhydroxy acid and exfoliates slowly. Licorice root extract, tocopherol and oligopeptide-68 sit alongside. Antioxidants are a morning layer, worn under sunscreen rather than in place of it.

What this does on your skin is not something a label can tell you. That is a conversation with your nurse, who has seen it.

Actives: Gluconolactone (PHA, exfoliant), Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate (Vitamin C) 10%, Hyaluronic Acid

Suits: Most skin states, including skin that finds L-ascorbic acid too sharp. A morning step.

Not for: Skin that is currently reactive. Contains soybean oil and fragrance.
