Retinol at 0.3% in an anhydrous squalane and safflower base. The first rung of the Intelligent Retinol ladder.

Retinol at 0.3% in an oil base of squalane, safflower seed oil and caprylic/capric triglyceride, with vitamin E and BHT keeping the retinol stable. No water in the formula.

This is where the ladder starts. Retinol takes two conversion steps to reach retinoic acid, the form skin actually responds to, which is why retinol is used at higher percentages than retinal — a 0.3% here is not weaker than it sounds next to a retinal number.

Four drops in the evening. Twice a week for the first fortnight, every other night for the next, then nightly once your skin has settled. Sunscreen every morning while you are using it.
