Crystal Retinal 20

Retinal (retinaldehyde) at 0.2%. A high rung on the Crystal Retinal ladder, for skin long settled at the strength below.

Retinaldehyde at 0.2%. Retinal converts to its active state in fewer steps than retinol, so 0.2% here is not the same proposition as 0.2% of a retinol. Same base as the rest of the ladder: three forms of Vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate, cloudberry seed oil and Vitamin E.

This is a high rung and not an entry point. Plenty of skin does well at 6 or 10 and stays there. Moving up is a decision to make with your nurse, after a full tube at your current strength, not a default.

Two pumps at night, moisturiser over the top, sunscreen the next morning without exception.

Not for: Skin new to Vitamin A, or currently reactive. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
