Retinal (retinaldehyde) at 0.01%. The first rung of the Crystal Retinal ladder, and the place to start.

Retinal is a form of Vitamin A that converts to its active state in fewer steps than retinol, which is why it works at lower strengths. Here it is at 0.01%, in a base carrying three forms of Vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate and cloudberry seed oil.

Phase it in. Twice a week for the first two weeks, every other night for the next two, then nightly if your skin is comfortable. Two pumps at night to face and neck, moisturiser over the top, sunscreen the next morning without exception.

This is the entry rung. Finish a full tube before you think about the next strength — the ladder exists to be climbed slowly.

Not for: Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Skin that is currently reactive should settle first.
