Crystal Retinal 10

Retinal at 0.1%. The fourth rung of the Crystal Retinal ladder, for skin already established at a lower strength.

Retinaldehyde at 0.1%, ten times the strength of Crystal Retinal 1. Retinal converts to its active state in fewer steps than retinol, which is why these numbers look small beside a retinol percentage. The base is the same across the ladder: three forms of Vitamin C, sodium hyaluronate, cloudberry seed oil and Vitamin E.

This is not an entry point. Finish a tube of your current strength before moving up — tolerance is built, not declared.

Two pumps at night to face and neck, moisturiser after, sunscreen the following morning. If you have had a break of more than a few weeks, phase back in rather than resuming nightly.

Suits: Skin established on Crystal Retinal 6 or an equivalent strength.

Not for: Skin new to Vitamin A. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
