C Serum Lite

L-ascorbic acid at 10% in a waterless, two-ingredient base. The lighter of the Vitamin C serums.

Two ingredients: propanediol and ascorbic acid at 10%. There is no water in it, and that is the whole design — water is what L-ascorbic acid degrades in, so leaving it out is what keeps the serum working.

Ten per cent is a moderate strength and a reasonable place to begin. Vitamin C can sting on first use. Test it on a small area before taking it across the face.

Made for normal to oilier skin. In dry air, drier skin can find a base this bare uncomfortable on its own, and a moisturiser over the top settles it.

Actives: L-Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) 10%

Suits: Normal to oilier skin. A reasonable first Vitamin C.

Not for: Skin that is currently reactive. Test a small area first.
