Glow Cosmetique, a registered-nurse-led skin clinic in Springvale, Melbourne, publishes its full price list. Every treatment price and every consultation price sits on one page, in full, GST included, with no quotes on request. The page is /pricing, and it is the only place a Glow price is written down.
That is the whole announcement. The rest of this post is the reason.
How much does a skin consultation cost at Glow Cosmetique?
The fee is published at /pricing. The consultation runs ninety minutes. It includes a full skin assessment and a written skin plan you keep, whether or not you book any treatment afterwards. The fee is not credited against treatment.
The written plan sets out what suits your skin, in what order, over what period. It is yours. It works at another clinic, or at home, and booking it does not oblige you to book anything else. Details of what the ninety minutes covers are on the new guest consultation page, and the plan itself is described at /skin-plans.
How much do skin treatments cost at Glow Cosmetique?
Every treatment price is listed in full at /pricing, alongside every consultation. That page is the live list; this post records the decision to publish it. Every price shown there is the full price. There are no packages and no bundles, so there is nothing a listed number depends on.
Microdermabrasion is not on the list because it is not a treatment you book on its own. It is a tool the clinic uses within some skin treatments — the glass skin facial among them — to help exfoliate the skin.
Every price includes GST. What is shown is the total a client pays.
Why publish every price?
You cannot decide whether something is worth it if nobody will tell you what it costs. That is the whole reason. A price list is not marketing. It is information a person needs before deciding whether a conversation is even worth having.
In this category, “price on consultation” is a familiar answer. How common it is, no register counts — take that as observation, not statistic. What can be said precisely is what the rules cover: the ACCC’s price-display guidance requires that when a price is shown, it is shown as a clear, total, single figure, and that pricing must not mislead. It is guidance about how prices appear, not about whether they appear before you ask.
Glow’s position is that the price should exist before the chair. A person weighing up a facial against a consultation can only do that arithmetic if both prices are published. Both are. Some people will look at the list and decide not to come. That is the list working.
Published is not promotional. Nothing on the list is discounted, and nothing on it ever will be framed as an offer. A number on a page is not an ask.
Is the consultation fee credited against treatment?
No. The consultation fee is not credited against any later treatment. It pays for the ninety-minute assessment and the written plan, and those stand on their own whether or not treatment follows.
The reason is structural. A consultation that only pays for itself when you buy treatment is a sales appointment with a clinical name. Charging for the assessment, and keeping that fee separate, means the recommendation at the end of it owes you nothing back. Sometimes that recommendation is to wait. Sometimes it is to do nothing yet. A credited fee makes both of those answers harder to give.
This costs bookings. Some people want the fee absorbed into treatment, and other clinics offer that. Glow accepts the trade.
