Consultations

About the consultation.

What happens in the room, what it costs, and what you’re not signing up for.

What happens at a skin consultation?

A skin consultation at Glow Cosmetique is 90 minutes with a registered nurse: your history, your current routine, and a full assessment of what your skin is doing now. It costs $150 and ends with a written skin plan you take home. It’s an assessment, not a treatment appointment, and nothing has to be booked afterwards.

How much does a skin consultation cost at Glow?

A first skin consultation at Glow Cosmetique is $150 and runs for 90 minutes. It includes a full skin assessment and a written skin plan you keep, whether or not you book any treatment afterwards. The fee is not credited against treatment.

How long is the consultation?

Ninety minutes. That length is deliberate: a proper read of skin takes history, conversation and assessment, and fifteen-minute consultations exist to sell rather than to assess. The appointment ends with a written plan, so the 90 minutes produces a document you keep, not a recommendation you have to remember.

Do I need to prepare anything before my consultation?

Four things. Come with clean skin and no makeup if you can, so your skin can be assessed as it is. Bring your current products or a written list of everything you use. Tell us about any cosmetic or skin treatment you have had elsewhere recently. And unless a doctor has prescribed them, leave anti-inflammatory medication until after the appointment. Your nurse goes through your medical history, medications and what you want from it in the room.

Do I have to book treatment after the consultation?

No. The consultation is priced as a complete appointment — $150, 90 minutes, ending with a written plan — and leaving with the plan and booking nothing is a normal outcome. The plan is written to stand on its own: at home, at Glow, or at another clinic.

Is the consultation fee credited toward treatment?

No, and that’s deliberate. The $150 pays for the assessment and the written plan — they are the product, not a pathway to one. Because nothing about the appointment depends on selling a treatment, the advice stays clean. The fee is the same whether you book afterwards or never do.

Who runs the consultation?

A registered nurse. Glow Cosmetique is a nurse-led clinic, and the consultation is a clinical assessment rather than a sales conversation — every recommendation that ends up in your plan follows a documented assessment by the nurse who examined your skin, not a treatment menu.

Skin plans

About the plan.

The document you leave with: what’s in it, who it belongs to, and what it does and doesn’t oblige.

What is a skin plan?

A skin plan is a written document prepared by a registered nurse after a 90-minute assessment. It sets out what suits your skin, in what order, over what period — treatments, skincare and timing. It’s included in the $150 consultation at Glow Cosmetique, and it’s yours to keep.

What does a skin plan contain?

Four things, in writing: what your skin is doing now, as assessed on the day; what suits it — skincare and treatments matched to that assessment; order and timing — what comes first, what waits, and why; and what to leave alone. It reads as a map, not a mandate.

Can I take my skin plan to another clinic?

Yes. The plan belongs to the client, not the clinic. It records what a registered nurse found on assessment and what suits that skin, in plain terms, so it reads the same anywhere — at Glow, at another clinic, or at home on its own. Nothing in it obliges a booking.

Is a skin plan just a quote?

No. A quote prices what a clinic would like to sell you. A plan records what an assessment found and what follows from it — including the parts that cost nothing, and the parts that say wait. Some plans contain no treatment at all; they’re still complete plans.

Do I have to follow the plan?

No. The plan is a map, not a mandate. It tells you what suits your skin, in what order, and why — what you do with that is your decision, made in your own time. Nothing in it commits you to booking anything, at Glow or anywhere else.

I already have a routine. Will the plan replace it?

Only where the assessment says it should. The consultation covers what you currently use, and anything that suits your skin stays in the plan, whoever sold it to you. What changes, and what stays, is written down with the reason — so the plan builds on your routine rather than discarding it.

How often is the plan reviewed?

As your skin changes — season, environment and timing all move it, and a plan written in one context is reread when the context shifts. Sometimes the review says nothing needs to change; that’s the plan working. There’s no set schedule and no reminder chasing you.

Treatments

About treatments.

What’s offered, who delivers it, and why nothing here is booked from a menu.

What treatments does Glow Cosmetique offer?

Skin treatments, delivered in clinic by a registered nurse: facials including the Glass Skin Facial ($250), microneedling with BioRePeel ($300–$350) and the Peptide Infusion Facial ($300–$350), clinical peels (face $220, body from $350), skin lesion assessment and management (from $250) and compression recovery ($100). Every price is published in full.

Can I book a treatment without a consultation?

No. Every treatment at Glow Cosmetique follows a documented plan, and the plan follows a 90-minute assessment — that order is the point of the clinic. A treatment chosen from a menu, without an assessment behind it, is a purchase; a treatment inside a plan is a decision.

How do I know which treatment suits my skin?

You don’t have to — that’s what the assessment is for. A registered nurse spends 90 minutes working out what your skin is doing and why, then writes down what suits it, in what order. Guessing from treatment names and price lists is exactly the work the consultation removes.

Is there downtime after treatment?

It depends on the treatment and on your skin. Each treatment page describes what’s involved and what to expect afterwards, and the consultation covers it in detail before anything is booked — including how timing fits around your life. Downtime is planned for, never a surprise on the day.

Who performs the treatments?

A registered nurse, in clinic at Springvale. Glow Cosmetique is nurse-led: assessment, plan and treatment all sit with a clinician, and treatment is delivered to the plan — when timing supports it, reviewed as your skin changes. The prices published on each page are the prices in the room.

How often will I need treatments?

There’s no standard answer, and a standard answer would be a red flag. Frequency depends on what your skin is doing, what it’s being asked to tolerate, and what the plan is staging. The plan sets out order and timing for your skin — and sometimes the honest timing is wait.

Pricing & booking

Pricing and booking.

Every price is published. What’s left is how booking works — and why nothing is discounted.

How much do treatments cost at Glow?

Every price is published in full — no packages, no quote-on-request. A consultation is $150. Some treatments are a fixed price and some start from a floor, marked “from”, because the work itself varies. Where it varies you are told the exact price before anything begins, never after. The full list is on the pricing page.

Do you offer packages, discounts or specials?

No. No packages, no offers, no countdowns — the price is the same whenever you’re ready. Discounting exists to move a decision faster than the person making it; a clinic that assesses before it recommends has no use for that. What changes a recommendation is your skin, not a sale.

How do I book a consultation?

Through the consultations page at glowcosmetique.com.au, or by calling 0466 310 045. Consultations are available by appointment five days a week at 23 Ebony Cl, Springvale. The appointment is the 90-minute consultation itself — $150, ending with a written plan.

Do I pay a deposit when I book?

Yes — $150, paid when you book, and it secures the appointment. For a treatment it is the first $150 of the price and the balance is settled when you finish. For a consultation it is the consultation fee: $150 is what the appointment costs. It is non-refundable, and it moves with you if you reschedule with seven days’ notice or more.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Ring the clinic on 0466 310 045. With seven days’ notice or more your $150 booking fee moves to the new appointment. With less than that it is forfeited — the notice period is longer than you are used to because the diary is booked eight weeks out and a week’s notice is what makes the time reusable. If something happens and you can’t make it, ring us anyway: we may be able to move it once, and that is decided at the time. We won’t ask you to prove it. The full policy sets out the detail.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

Yes, from $100, and you choose a printed voucher to collect from the clinic or one sent by email. They can be used against any treatment or product, and they are bought at face value — a voucher is stored money, not a discount, and nothing about it is cheaper than paying on the day. They can’t be used to pay a booking fee, and they need to be presented when redeemed. Under Australian Consumer Law a gift card is valid for at least three years from purchase and cannot attract fees afterwards, and three years is what Glow prints. If one is sitting unused as the date approaches we will try to reach whoever holds it — a voucher quietly expiring is money the clinic keeps for nothing, and we would rather you spent it.

Why isn’t the consultation free?

Because a free consultation has to be paid for by something, and that something is usually the treatment it ends by recommending. The $150 pays for 90 minutes of assessment and a written plan you keep — so the appointment doesn’t depend on selling anything to be worth running.

The clinic

The clinic.

Where Glow is, when it’s open, and how to reach it.

Where is Glow Cosmetique?

23 Ebony Cl, Springvale VIC 3171, inside Springvale Business Park — in Melbourne’s south-east. Phone 0466 310 045. The clinic is open five days, with evening appointments on Wednesdays and Thursdays until 8pm. Tuesday and Sunday are closed. Full opening hours are on the contact page.

What are your opening hours?

Monday 9am–6pm, Wednesday 11am–8pm, Thursday 12pm–8pm, Friday 10am–5pm, Saturday 11am–4pm; closed Tuesday and Sunday. Consultations are available by appointment within those hours — Wednesday and Thursday evenings suit people coming after work. The clinic is at 23 Ebony Cl, Springvale VIC 3171, in Springvale Business Park.

Is there parking at the clinic?

We’re inside Springvale Business Park, and one parking space is kept for clients directly outside the clinic — Space 23. If it’s taken, there is visitor parking at the end of Ebony Close. We ask clients to use those two only, because the other spaces belong to neighbouring businesses. The entrance isn’t obvious from the street; if you can’t find it, ring and someone will come out.

How long has Glow Cosmetique been open?

More than five years in Springvale. Glow Cosmetique is an established clinic led by a registered nurse, serving Melbourne’s south-east from Springvale Business Park at 23 Ebony Cl. Consultations run by appointment, Monday to Saturday, and every price the clinic charges is published in full.

How do I contact the clinic?

Phone 0466 310 045 during opening hours — Monday to Saturday — or use the contact page at glowcosmetique.com.au. The clinic is at 23 Ebony Cl, Springvale VIC 3171, in Springvale Business Park. Questions about whether a consultation suits you are welcome before you book anything.

Is the clinic wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The clinic is on the ground floor with step-free entry, wheelchair access and a wide hallway. If you need anything arranged before you arrive, ring ahead and we’ll sort it out rather than improvise on the day.

Products & skincare

Products and skincare.

What’s stocked, what isn’t pushed, and where your current routine fits.

Does Glow sell skincare?

Yes. Glow Cosmetique carries a curated range of retail skincare, sold through the online shop, mostly between $40 and $195. Nothing in the range is pushed at appointments — skincare enters your plan when the assessment says it suits your skin, not because it’s on a shelf.

Do I have to buy products from Glow for the plan to work?

No. The plan names what suits your skin in plain terms, and it’s written to work wherever you take it — including the chemist, another clinic, or products you already own. Glow stocks skincare for convenience, not dependence — the plan stands on its own.

Will I be told to throw out what I’m already using?

Only if the assessment finds it doesn’t suit your skin — and then you’ll get the reason, not just the verdict. The consultation covers your current routine as part of the 90 minutes, and anything that’s working stays in the plan regardless of where it came from.

Can you recommend skincare without a consultation?

No — a recommendation without an assessment is a sale, and that applies to a $40 cleanser as much as a $350 treatment. What suits your skin depends on what your skin is doing, which takes 90 minutes to establish properly. The shop is open to anyone; advice follows assessment.

Can I order online, and do you ship?

Skincare is sent by Australia Post Express, dispatched within two to three business days. Postage is calculated on parcel weight, and orders over 5 kg may attract an additional charge — you’ll see it before you pay, not after. You can also choose Click & Collect from the clinic; most orders are ready within two to three business days and we’ll let you know when yours is.

Safety & regulation

Safety and regulation.

Who’s qualified, what the clinic won’t claim, and where a GP comes in.

Is Glow Cosmetique run by qualified clinicians?

Yes. Glow Cosmetique is led by a registered nurse with current AHPRA registration, and every recommendation follows a documented clinical assessment. The clinic operates under Australian health regulation, which shapes what appears on this site as much as what happens in the room.

Do you diagnose skin conditions?

No. Glow Cosmetique assesses and describes what skin is doing; it does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If an assessment finds anything that needs medical attention, you’ll be referred to your GP — that referral is part of the clinic’s role, not an add-on to it.

What happens if you find something concerning on my skin?

You’ll be told plainly, and referred to your GP. Glow Cosmetique doesn’t diagnose pathology or manage medical conditions — anything that looks like it needs a doctor goes to a doctor. Skin lesion appointments work the same way: assessment first, and referral where it’s warranted.

Do you guarantee results?

No, and no honest clinic can. Skin responds over time and varies with season, environment and what it’s already been asked to tolerate. What you’ll get instead is a documented assessment, a written plan, what the nurse expects to see — and a straight statement of what isn’t known.

Why are there no before-and-after photos or reviews on this site?

Because Australian regulation restricts testimonials about clinical care, and because before-and-after images quietly promise a repeat of someone else’s outcome — which no clinic can promise. Skin varies too much for another person’s photos to predict yours. The honest substitute is an assessment of your skin, documented in a plan.

Are there risks with skin treatments?

Yes — every treatment carries considerations, and any clinic that says otherwise is advertising, not assessing. What those considerations are depends on the treatment and on your skin, and they’re discussed at consultation before anything is booked. Nothing at Glow Cosmetique is presented as free of risk.

First-timers

Your first visit.

If you’ve never been to a skin clinic, these are yours. Nobody is born knowing how this works.

I’ve never been to a skin clinic. What should I expect?

A 90-minute conversation and assessment with a registered nurse: your history, your current routine, and a careful look at what your skin is doing now. It costs $150 and ends with a written plan you take home. Nothing has to be decided in the room, and nothing has to be booked afterwards.

Is my skin bad enough to see a clinic about?

There’s no threshold to clear. A consultation isn’t a verdict on how bad your skin is — it’s 90 minutes of working out what it’s doing and what actually suits it. Wondering about your skin for months is reason enough. Some plans end up being mostly skincare and timing.

What if I’m worried about being pressured or sold to?

Reasonable — many people arrive having felt sold to somewhere else. The structure removes the pressure: the $150 consultation is the product, the fee isn’t credited against treatment, and the written plan is yours whether you book anything or not. Leaving with the plan and nothing else is a normal outcome.

What if I don’t want any treatment at all?

Then don’t have any. A plan can be entirely skincare and timing — treatment has to earn its place in it, and sometimes the honest recommendation is to wait or do nothing. The consultation is still worth the 90 minutes, because it replaces guessing with a documented read of your skin.

Will I be judged for my current routine — or for not having one?

No. Your history is information, not a test — what you’ve used, what you reacted to and what you gave up on all help explain what your skin is doing now. Arriving with a drawer full of products, or none at all, are both normal starting points.

Do I need to know what I want before I book?

No — not knowing is the usual starting point, and the consultation exists to do that work. A registered nurse spends 90 minutes establishing what your skin is doing and writes down what suits it, in what order. Arriving with nothing but questions is exactly what the appointment is for.

I’m nervous. Is that normal?

Completely. A first visit to a clinic carries the fear of being judged, upsold or talked over — and the appointment is built so none of those happen. It’s 90 minutes of being listened to and assessed, at your pace, with a registered nurse who writes everything down for you to take away.

Still wondering? Ask it in the room.

If your question isn’t here, call 0466 310 045. Or bring it to a consultation — ninety minutes with a registered nurse, $150, and a written plan that’s yours whatever you decide.
