Consultation

Skin Quality Planning.

Skin Quality Planning is a $150 consultation with a registered nurse about the skin itself — texture, hydration, congestion, pigmentation, redness. A full assessment of what your skin is doing now, written into a plan for what suits it, in what order, over what period. The plan is yours to keep.

Who it’s for

Is this the one for me?

This is the consultation for the skin itself. Your skin has changed — texture, pigmentation, congestion, redness — and you can’t tell what genuinely works from what is marketing. You want a qualified read of what’s actually going on before you spend anything else.

It suits people who have already tried things. Products that were never matched to their skin, advice that changed with whoever was selling. The starting point here is different: assessment first, and a recommendation only if the assessment supports one.

The appointment

What happens?

The same discipline as every consultation here: assessment before recommendation, and a document at the end instead of a quote.

01 History and routine

What your skin has been through, what you use now, and what you’ve noticed yourself — season to season, not just this week.

02 Skin quality assessment

A registered nurse assesses texture, hydration, congestion, pigmentation and redness — documented as found on the day.

03 Your written plan

What suits your skin, in what order, over what period — skincare, treatments, timing, and what to leave alone. Yours to keep.

The document

What do I leave with?

A written skin plan. It records what the assessment found, what suits your skin, the order things should happen in, and what should wait. Nothing in it obliges you to book anything — here or anywhere. It’s written to be useful at Glow, at another clinic, or at home on its own.

Asked quietly

The questions people don’t ask out loud.

The ones that come up near the end of the appointment.

Is $150 worth it if I just want to know what to use?

That depends on what you have already spent guessing. Most people arrive having bought several hundred dollars of products that were never matched to their skin, and the assessment usually names things to stop as well as things to start. If you would rather try one more product first, that is a reasonable choice and we would not argue with it.

My skin is worse than usual right now. Should I wait?

No — come as you are. Skin having a bad week is more useful to look at than skin on its best behaviour, because it shows what it does under pressure. There is nothing to tidy up beforehand.

Do I have to arrive with no makeup on?

It helps but it is not a condition of the appointment. If you are coming from work, come from work; we can remove it. What matters more is not starting anything new in the week before.

Can you just tell me what's wrong with my skin?

We can tell you what it is doing — how it holds water, how fast it flushes, where it is congested, how it is behaving at the barrier. Naming a condition is a diagnosis and it belongs to a doctor. If what we see suggests one, we say so and refer, and that referral is not part of what you paid for.
